In order to work on a UK Construction Group (UKCG) site (i.e. installing storage products on a site which falls within the scope of CDM 2007 &/or a Principal Contractor has been appointed) all personnel will require to obtain, hold and carry a valid in-date CSCS Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card.
Installers of Storage Equipment must be in possession of a valid SEIRS ID Card before they can apply for a CSCS/CRO Card. Note: In this case a valid SEIRS Card means one which has at least six months to run before expiry.
A CSCS CRO card application form can be obtained by contacting SEMA -or- complete and submit the simple return below to gain access to an electronic downloadable form. Alternatively go to: www.cscs.uk.com/how-to-apply for further information.
The 3 key stages in the CSCS CRO application process are:
1. Contact SkillsDirect via: 0844 248 5262 to book a CSCS Health & Safety test at your nearest approved test centre
2. Prepare, take and pass the relevant CSCS Health & Safety test
3. Obtain, complete and return the CSCS CRO application form, ensuring that the Occupation Title:
Installer of Storage Equipment & the CRO Code: 5274 are both included in Section B of the application form.
